Papermaking and Bookbinding
Tutor: Altea Grau Vidal
June 18 – 22    10am to 4pm
5 days - £250 Class size: 6
Create your own unique book starting with the process of papermaking through to learning step by step basics of book binding, both concertina and traditional book forms, using the paper that you have made. There is plenty of scope for creativity to produce a highly individualised result depending on your choices of materials and design. No previous experience is necessary.

Expressive Mono-printing
Tutor: Paul Wye
July 2 – 4    10am to 4pm
3 days (£150 includes materials except paper)
Class size - 7
Using an expressive and painterly approach this course will allow students to create a series of Mono-prints in variation from a single plate. Working with the tutor, students will be able transcribe their personal imagery to bold, energetic and unique prints by working directly into the inks surface. Suitable for all levels of experience. Beginners welcome.

Experimental Collograph
Tutor: Paul Wye
July 5 – 7    10am to 4pm
3 days £150 (includes materials except paper)
Class size 7
This course will explore the exciting possibilities of easily accessible techniques allowing students to quickly develop their imagery into rich, sensitive and textural prints. Through manipulation and composition of different materials you will discover the potential of collograph to give a fresh and direct approach. Suitable for all levels of experience, Beginners welcome.

Drypoint and Chine Colle
Tutor: Paul Wye
July 9 – 11    10am to 4pm
3 days £150 (includes materials except paper)
Class size 7
This enjoyable course will explore printmaking through the medium of Drypoint. By scoring the surface of a metal plate with scribing tools, students will be able to translate their own drawings easily into prints. Alongside this students will learn the technique of Chine colle where coloured paper can be added to prints to incorporate colour, texture and text, giving the potential for bold and variable editions to be produced. Ideal for those who would like to explore a highly accessible form of printmaking Beginners welcome.
